Connection was founded in 1982 by Patricia Gallup and David Hall. Their founding principle was to serve as a comprehensive information and product source for computer equipment, offering excellent customer service and competitive prices. Patricia remains closely involved in the leadership and management of the business today.

Connection had its initial public offering on March 3, 1998, when it issued 3.8 million shares to the public at a price of $17.50 per share.
The underwriters for the Offering were Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, NationsBanc Montgomery Securities (now Bank of America Montgomery), and William Blair & Company.

The Company declared its eleventh consecutive annual special dividend in December 2021. The Company currently anticipates that it will retain all future earnings, if any, to fund the development and growth of its business and does not anticipate paying any cash dividends on its Common Stock in the foreseeable future.
There has been one split of Connection Common Stock since the Initial Public Offering. A 3:2 split was paid on May 24, 2000 at the close of trading. We do not comment on the possibility of stock splits in the future.
